President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva during the G20 Leaders Summit in Brazil. The leaders discussed bilateral relations, global issues, and strengthening strategic partnerships between Türkiye and Brazil.
Erdoğan praised Brazil’s stance against Israeli aggression and highlighted Türkiye’s UN-backed efforts to halt arms sales to Israel and promote a permanent ceasefire in Palestine. He emphasized Türkiye’s commitment to facilitating uninterrupted humanitarian aid and advocating a two-state solution.
Erdoğan also criticized the UN’s inefficacy in resolving global conflicts, particularly in Gaza, and supported Brazil’s initiative on “Global Governance Reform” during its G20 presidency.
