President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, to mark the 102nd anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. Accompanied by senior officials including Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, and opposition leaders, Erdoğan laid a wreath at Atatürk’s tomb, observed a moment of silence, and signed the Anıtkabir memorial book.
In his message, Erdoğan honored Atatürk and the nation’s martyrs, vowing to continue working toward “a great and powerful Türkiye” and to raise the Republic “above the level of contemporary civilizations.” Following the ceremony, Anıtkabir was opened to the public.
