President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met US President Donald Trump at the White House for 2 hours 20 minutes, advancing talks on Gaza, Syria, trade and defence cooperation. Erdoğan said both leaders agreed on the need to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and pursue a lasting two-state solution. The two sides signed a Strategic Civil Nuclear Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding to deepen Türkiye–US collaboration in civilian nuclear energy. Erdoğan also reported progress on trade, investment and defence ties and urged stronger international pressure to protect Palestinian civilians.
