Etna Volcano Reactivates, Spews Lava and Ash on Sicily Island

Etna Volcano on Sicily Island, Italy, has become active again, emitting lava and ash up to an altitude of 4,500 meters. The recent activity, reported by the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), did not impact flights at Catania airport.
