EU, Allies Consider More Sanctions on Russia

European foreign ministers and top EU officials have pledged to increase pressure on Russia, including new sanctions, over its war in Ukraine. In a joint statement following a meeting in Madrid, officials from Spain, Germany, France, Italy, the UK, Poland, and the EU emphasized their commitment to limiting Russia’s ability to continue its aggression and supporting Ukraine in securing a just and lasting peace.
