Europe Sees Mass Protests Over Global Sumud Flotilla Raid

Thousands of demonstrators across Italy, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the UK, and Ireland protested Israel’s raid on the Global Sumud Flotilla and the detention of activists attempting to deliver aid to Gaza.

In Brussels, crowds marched to EU headquarters demanding action, while in Ireland protesters vowed to remain at ports. Demonstrations in Spain filled city squares with Palestinian flags, and in Berlin two protesters painted the Foreign Ministry’s wall red. Slogans such as “Stop starving Gaza” and “Freedom for Palestine” dominated rallies across Europe.
