Anuwat Waenthong, a 29-year-old former soldier, opened fire on his street in Thailand’s Phetchaburi province. Waenthong, who had a psychological breakdown for an unexplained reason, killed at least 3 people, including the district governor, and injured 3 others.
The siege, which lasted 15 hours, came to an end earlier today when the police shot and killed the gunman, despite their attempts to convince him to surrender.
