An explosion and then a fire broke out in the gas tanker at the gas filling facility in the Embakasi neighborhood of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, last night. Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura stated that the fire in the tanker quickly spread to the gas filling facility and that 2 people died and 222 people were injured. Mwaura said a textile and clothing warehouse, many vehicles and houses located near the facility became unusable.
