Honduran lawmaker Gladis Aurora López was injured after an explosive device struck her while she was speaking to journalists outside the National Congress in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The device, thrown from behind, hit López in the neck, causing burns, shoulder and back injuries, and temporary hearing loss, according to local media. She was treated at the scene and taken to hospital, where her condition was reported as stable. Authorities launched an investigation as the attack comes amid heightened political tensions following disputed presidential elections.
