extreme temperature drop turns summer into winter in switzerland

Switzerland’s canton of Valais experienced both summer and winter in 5 days. The temperatures that had risen to a record level of 31 degrees in the town of Zermatt, quickly dropped to 0.5 degrees in 5 days and led to snowfall. The heavy snowfall left the whole town under snow.

The unusual weather conditions and temperature fluctuations in Zermatt are attributed to several factors, including climate change as a result of air pollution.
