One year after surviving the devastating earthquake in Şanlıurfa, Türkiye, the İstegün family, who were rescued from the collapsed Osman Ağan apartment building where 40 lives were lost, received a touching visit from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) rescue team. Emotional moments marked the reunion, especially for Erdem İstegün, the youngest family member, who couldn’t hold back tears. The AFAD team, heroes who saved the İstegün family just 7 hours after the six-story building collapsed, expressed their emotions with hugs during the heartfelt visit to the family’s home. The visit concluded as AFAD departed from the residence.
