Ferrero restarts production in Belgium after salmonella outbreak

Belgium revoked the production license of the Italian-based Ferrero chocolate factory last April, after salmonella bacteria were found in the production facilities in Arlon, Belgium. The factory has conditionally resumed production. ‘Kinder surprise egg’, have not come back yet  on the shelves as the bacteria was found on this particular chocolate eggs. During this period, the production will undergo a detailed inspection for at least 3 months, authorities said.

Although the Ferrero products are back on the market, consumers are unlikely to prefer them.
