Ferry Runs Aground Near Japan’s Tomakomai Port

 

A ferry with 140 people onboard ran aground near Tomakomai Port in Hokkaido, Japan. The Silver Breeze ferry, en route from Hachinohe Port, got stuck at 01:20 AM. No injuries or environmental damage were reported. Tugboats refloated the ferry at high tide. Authorities are investigating the cause.
