A fire at Luton Airport’s multi-storey car park in England began in a vehicle on the third floor and rapidly spread to other levels. The fire involved more than 1,500 vehicles, resulting in a partial collapse of the parking structure and damage to around 1,200 cars. All flights at Luton Airport were halted until 15:00 on the following day to ensure safety. Thankfully, there were no casualties, but four firefighters and one airport staff member were hospitalized due to smoke exposure. Firefighting efforts continued through the early morning, and an investigation into the fire’s cause is underway.
