fire breaks out at textile manufacturer in Turkey

A massive fire broke out last night at a textile factory in Bursa, Turkey. For the past 24 hours, dense smoke has been rising to the sky from the factory, which is located in the Bursa Organized Industrial Zone, Turkey’s first organized industrial zone. Authorities said more than 100 firefighters and 1000 personnel were fighting the fire.

According to local sources, the polyester threads in the textile factory continued to burn; there was no flame in the area, but black and gray smoke continued to rise as the fire was extinguished.
