Fire Breaks Out in Greece’s Peloponnese

A forest fire broke out near an open-pit mine in the south of Greece’s Peloponnese Peninsula yesterday. Nine trucks, 30 personnel, 2 aircraft and 1 helicopter were sent to the region to control the fire. Locals were warned to stay away from the area.

A 55-year-old man collapsed while fighting the flames and died at the hospital he was brought.
