Fire Engulfs 14-Storey Building in Spain, Killing 4

A fire erupted in a 14-storey building in the Campanar neighborhood of Valencia, Spain, rapidly spreading and trapping residents on their balconies. Emergency services, including firefighters and ambulances, rushed to the scene. A field hospital was set up to treat the injured. Authorities reported 7 injuries and confirmed ongoing rescue operations. The fire extended to an adjacent building, prompting warnings for the public to steer clear. Eyewitnesses suggested the rapid spread might be linked to the exterior building materials. Valencia Mayor Maria Jose Catala urged people to stay away, and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed solidarity with those affected, praising emergency personnel. The building, housing over 130 flats, remained ablaze with efforts to extinguish it ongoing.
