Fire Erupts at Charlotte Douglas International Airport

A fire broke out during the demolition of the old air traffic control tower at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina. Four construction workers were briefly trapped in the control tower but managed to escape uninjured.

Firefighters quickly contained the blaze within 10 minutes, ensuring no disruption to airport operations. The fire was caused by hot slag accidentally falling on insulation material in the elevator shaft during the demolition process.
