A fire broke out in the refugee camp located at the Zaho district of Duhok in the of Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG). A large number of fire trucks were dispatched to the scene to respond to the fire, which spread with the effect of the wind. Local sources stated that dozens of tents in the camp were destroyed in the fire. While the efforts are continuing to control the fire, it’s unknown whether there is any loss of life in the incident. Migrants fleeing Sinjar remain in the camp, which was established after the terrorist organization DAESH occupied many parts of the country in 2014.
