A fire erupted in Erbil city’s historic Qaysari Bazaar within the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG), injuring seven individuals overnight. The blaze, which occurred in the bazaar’s center, was brought under control by emergency teams by morning.
Shop owners, concerned about potential thefts, remained vigilant outside the bazaar, known for its numerous jewelry shops. Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw announced that damage assessments commenced following the fire.
