A forest fire that began on August 7 in Germencik, Aydın, quickly spread to the nearby Söke district, Türkiye. Firefighting teams from Aydın and Muğla, along with aerial support, worked intensively to control the blaze. Their efforts included protecting a Turkish flag hanging on a post in the affected area, successfully saving it from the encroaching flames. The fire, fueled by strong winds, also threatened a greenhouse and prompted the evacuation of nearby residents and businesses.
