First Groups of Prisoners Were Exchanged by Israel and Hamas

The first prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel was carried out after the 4-day ceasefire started yesterday at 7:00 local time. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that 13 Israeli prisoners were brought to Israeli territory, accompanied by the IDF and the internal intelligence service Shin Bet. The Israeli forces said that they were working for the return of all hostages and asked the Israeli people to be patient. Meanwhile, the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that 39 Palestinian women and children were released. The Palestinians, released from Ofer Prison in the West Bank, were excitedly welcomed in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah.
