Fishing Boat Sinks in South Korea

A fishing boat carrying 11 crew members sank off the coast of Tongyeong city in South Korea. The South Korean Coast Guard Force reported that the 139-ton vessel sank for reasons yet to be determined, prompting a distress call at 04:12 local time. Despite a swift and extensive search and rescue operation, three Korean crew members lost their lives. Seven foreign crew members were successfully rescued by Coast Guard Forces and nearby vessels, but one person remains missing.
