Five Dead from Heatstroke at Indian Air Show

At least five people died of heatstroke during an air show in Chennai, India, attended by 1.5 million people for the Indian Air Force’s 92nd anniversary. The event, held at Marina Beach, saw overcrowding and inadequate organization, with stampedes at train stations and a lack of drinking water. Temperatures reached 35°C, causing dozens to be hospitalized. Local reports highlighted long distances spectators had to walk due to congestion, with transport systems overwhelmed for hours.
