The Israeli army bombed two municipality buildings in Nabatieh in southern Lebanon. Following the attack, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that at least 5 people, including the mayor, Dr. Ahmed Kahil, were killed.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said that Israel deliberately targeted the municipal council meeting.
The Israeli army said it hit “dozens of infrastructure targets belonging to Hezbollah and eliminated underground infrastructure” and that “military buildings, headquarters and ammunition depots that Hezbollah has placed near civilian buildings, using civilians as human shields,” were also targeted.
