Flash Floods Kill 3 in New Mexico

Flash floods triggered by heavy rain in New Mexico’s Ruidoso region killed three people, including two children, and injured three others. One house was swept away by the floodwaters.

Officials said the Rio Ruidoso River rose nearly 2.7 meters within minutes. Emergency crews carried out at least 85 rescues. Authorities urged residents to seek higher ground.
