Heavy rains caused flash floods in the city of Gwadar in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. At least 300 houses were destroyed in the flood, while more than a thousand vehicles were stranded on the Pakistan-Iran border due to the flood. Residents were moved to the safe area by boats of the Pakistan Navy.

Flights were canceled due to heavy rain at Gwadar International Airport, the drainage systems in Ketta city were also broken, officials said. The Prime Minister of Balochistan Province, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, ordered that rescue efforts be accelerated and the drainage system in the city of Ketta cleared. Prime Minister Bizenjo stated that the administration should be prepared to deal with any kind of emergency, taking into account the weather, and that no negligence will be tolerated.
