Flash floods ripped through bridges and roads

Overflows occurred in the streams in Mengen district as a result of the continuous rain in Bolu for two days. The logs in the Pazarköy village forest warehouse could not withstand the force of the water and rolled into the Mengen Stream. Logs drifting with the current destroyed three bridges in the area. The Mengen-Pazarköy highway collapsed as the rainfall increased. Search and rescue teams started working with construction equipment in the region where transportation could not be provided. With the loss of effect of the rains, cleaning and detection works were started in the areas where the destruction took place. The logs that caused the collapse of the bridges were collected from the streams with tractors and construction equipment and taken back to the forest warehouse.
