Flood Engulfs Airport in Brazil

The ongoing flood disaster across the the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul spread to the Salgado Filho International Airport in the capital, Porto Alegre. The runway of the airport got entirely covered by the flood waters.

Officials suspended the flights in the airport indefinitely and advised passengers to contact their airline regarding their flight status.

While the number of people who lost their lives in the flood disaster in the country increased to 100, it was stated that 128 people were missing.
