Flooding and evacuations ongoing across Japan

Heavy rains, particularly in Japan’s Shizuoka province, caused flooding. The local administration of Hamamatsu has ordered the evacuation of 189,526 people living in 74,984 households in disaster-prone areas. In the city of Kosai, evacuation orders were issued for 2,333 people living in 973 households.
