Flooding hits Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia

Flooding occurred in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia due to heavy rains. In the Una-Sana canton of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Una River overflowed and flooded many homes and businesses in the city of Bihac.

Hundreds of soldiers have been mobilized in Croatia since yesterday to help the people in the flood-affected areas. A state of emergency was declared in the town of Obrovac, located in Zadar, in the North Dalmatia region, which is the most affected.

Education was suspended due to flooding in the town center and schools.

The Slovenian government has also issued a flood warning for the eastern parts of the country. Meteorologists announced that precipitation in the region will increase in the coming days.
