Heavy rains have had a negative impact on life in different parts of Japan, particularly in the provinces of Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and Oita in the Kyushu region. More than 470,000 people have been called to evacuate. A 37-meter-long concrete bridge crossing a river in the Kyushu region collapsed due to overflowing. A road in a mountainous area in Fukuoka Prefecture has collapsed as a result of a landslide. Flooding has also occurred in many residential areas in Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and Oita prefectures.

On Saturday, a person was found dead in a vehicle that had been dragged into the irrigation canal by floodwaters in Yamaguchi province.
