Severe storms caused widespread flooding and landslides in over 15 cities, including the state capital, Porto Alegre. One person died from an electric shock during house flooding, and a man and a couple lost their lives when their vehicle submerged. Fortunately, bystanders recorded a house being swept away, but there were no reported casualties in that incident. This follows a severe storm in June that claimed the lives of 16 people in the state.
