Floods and landslides kill 11 in Philippines

Heavy rains have been effective since January 2 across the Philippines, causing floods and landslides in different parts of the country, especially in the Bicol, Visayas, and Mindanao regions. While some villages, roads and farming areas were submerged, the water level reached 3 meters. According to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), floods and landslides caused 11 deaths. Furthermore, 63,101 families consisting of 263,906 people were affected by the disaster, and 815 families consisting of 3,387 people had to leave their homes.
