floods bring life to a standstill in turkish capital

The torrential rain that started at noon in Türkiye’s capital, Ankara, caused flooding in some areas. While houses and workplaces were filled with water, avenues and streets turned into rivers. Drivers struggled to advance on the roads, and some vehicles got dragged away by the floodwaters. Unprepared citizens took shelter in the closed areas on the streets and waited for the downpour to stop.
