Floods Have Killed 56 in India

The number of deaths caused by the floods that occurred rose to 56 in India’s Assam state.

Over 1.625 million people have been affected by floods across 29 districts including Barpeta, Biswanath, Cachar, Charaideo, Chirang, Darrang, and Dhemaji.

Flood waters also caused devastation at the Kaziranga National Park, which is in World’s Heritages List, resulting in the death of 17 animals.
