Floods in Malaysia and Thailand Kills 27 People

Flooding from heavy rains in Malaysia has claimed six lives, with over 134,000 residents evacuated to shelters. The hardest-hit areas are Kelantan and Terengganu, where homes, train services, and 38,000 hectares of rice fields suffered significant damage. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced additional funding for flood recovery, set to begin in mid-December.

Meanwhile, in southern Thailand, the death toll from monsoon-driven floods has risen to 12, bringing the combined total for the region to 27. Although waters have receded in some areas, recovery efforts are ongoing as many return to flood-damaged homes.
