Floods Kill Six in China’s Guizhou Province

Heavy rains triggered severe flooding in Guizhou, China, killing six in Rongjiang County and displacing over 80,000 people. Roads collapsed, vehicles were swept away, and major infrastructure was damaged. Meteorologists called it a once-in-50-years event. Floodwaters also reached Guangxi province, submerging parts of Meilin town.
