A fire that broke out on Sunday in the Bohemian Switzerland National Park near the German border in northern Czechia. The fire has been brought under control with the participation of 83 fire departments, 450 firefighters, 7 helicopters and 4 planes. Around 1000 hectares have been destroyed in the fire so far. Extinguishing efforts have been suspended due to foggy weather.
Along with the helicopters sent from Poland and Slovakia, two Italian firefighting planes took part in the efforts. Swimming in Lake Milade near the park, where planes and helicopters get water, flying over the area and entrance to the park are suspended.
