Forest Fires Kill 2, Injure 6 in South Korea

Two firefighters have died and 6 firefighters have been injured in more than 20 forest fires that broke out in various regions of South Korea.

More than 260 people were evacuated from their homes in the South Gyeongsang region, and the flames spread to an area of ​​275 hectares due to strong winds. Meanwhile, 300 hectares of forest were reduced to ashes in the fire in Uiseong, North Gyeongsang region. About 500 people were evacuated from their homes. About 80 people were evacuated from the fire in Ulju, Ulsan city.

Interim President Choi Sang-mok ordered the mobilization of all resources to extinguish the fires.
