Forest Fire in Southern France Kills 1

A forest fire in the Aude region of southern France has killed one person and injured nine. The fire has burned 13,000 hectares and damaged 25 homes. A 60-year-old woman died after refusing to evacuate. French President Macron stated that all resources are being mobilized to fight the blaze. Authorities are investigating the cause, with the fire believed to have started near a road, possibly from a discarded cigarette. Around 2,000 firefighters are battling the flames.
