Spain continues to fight the forest fire that started on July 15 near the city of Mijas in the Andalusia region. Around 2,000 hectares of land have been turned into ashes so far in the fire, which caused the evacuation of thousands of people, reports stated. The fire has been brought under control at a rate of 90 percent, however the fire was started deliberately, investigations indicated. The extinguishing efforts continue in the region with the participation of 250 firefighters, 7 fire trucks and 18 aircraft.
So far, 360 people have died as a result of the heat wave that has been affecting Spain since July 10.
