A fire broke out in the forested area near Terkos Lake in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, necessitating a rapid response involving multiple firefighting resources, including helicopters and water tankers. After roughly three hours of strenuous efforts, the fire was successfully extinguished, but it caused damage to about one hectare of land. The affected area had been specially reforested as part of a government project and was off-limits to pedestrians.
