A person has been found dead in a forest fire in the Limassol region of the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus. Police reported the victim was trapped in a vehicle on the Platres-Limassol road. Authorities are investigating the incident.
In addition, one person has been seriously injured as fires spread to residential areas. Several villages in the Limassol and Paphos regions have been evacuated, with ongoing efforts in villages like Malia, Omodos, and Arsos. Greek Cypriot Justice Minister Marios Hartsiotis confirmed that Vouni village has also been affected.
