Former Georgian President Mihail Saakashvili announced that he has returned to his country. Saakashvili had left the country in 2013 after completing presidency. He has an arrest warrant due to several accusations regarding corruption, and being autocratic against the opposition members during his administration. “This is my Batumi. I came here risking my life” Saakashvili said in the video that he shared on his Facebook account. He called for Georgian people to attend the local elections that will be held tomorrow, and the rally on Freedom Square in Tbilisi on October 3rd. Georgian Interior Ministry stated that Saakashvili did not cross the Georgian border.
