former Pakistani PM discharged from hospital after surviving assassination attempt

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, who survived the assassination attempt that took place during the convoy he carried out with his supporters for early elections, was discharged from the hospital as his treatment was completed.

Stating that there were 4 bullet fragments in Khan’s body and there were fractures in his right leg, Shaukat Khanum Hospital said that his treatment will continue for one more week and that they might need a computed tomography scan if necessary. The bullet fragments in Khan’s body were removed in an operation that took about 1.5 hours.

After the incident where at least one person lost his life and many were injured, the attacker confessed the crime and said, “I only wanted to kill Imran Khan, not anyone else.”
