Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan addressed his supporters at a rally in Karachi after his dismissal. Khan urged the public to hold peaceful protests demanding early elections, claiming at the rally that the government would rig the next general elections. Khan thanked those who supported him and made statements on the subject in his speech. “A great international conspiracy has been carried out by foreign powers against this country. During my tenure, I have never been against any country and have always been on the side of humanity. Dear Pakistanis! I want to be friends with everyone, but I cannot allow our country to be anyone’s slave,” Khan said in his speech at the rally.
On the other hand, a vote of confidence was held in the National Assembly for Khan and his government recently in Pakistan. He was removed from his position as prime minister after Khan and his government failed to receive a vote of confidence. After Khan’s dismissal, Pakistan’s 23rd Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was elected with 174 “yes” votes in the parliamentary vote on April 16.
