‘Founder of Kyiv’ statute protected

The statue of the ‘founders of Kyiv’ in Democracy Square, one of the most important centers of the capital Kyiv, was shielded from air attacks. The statue was carefully wrapped in a black cloth and tied with a rope in memory of Kyi, Shchek, Khoriv, and their sister Lybid, who is thought to be the founder of Kyiv.

During his two missions, which required meticulous work captured some interesting images. The statue, which has begun to be laid with sandbags, is expected to withstand an air attack or explosion with minimal damage. Sandbags will be used to completely cover the colossal statue.
