fuel shortage erupts in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

The storm in Mediterranean coast of Cyprus blocked approaching of fuel-laden ships to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), and causing fuel shortage in the country, according to fuel companies ALPET and KPET. Gasoline and diesel have been runned low at gas stations, and some stations have been closed due to lack of fuel supply. “As of today, we ran out of euro diesel at all stations across the country. We have enough gasoline left for only 1-2 days,” Deputy Chairman of the TRNC Petroleum Association stated. The country experienced similar fuel crisis last month.
