Thousands of mourners gathered at Revolution Square in Tehran, Iran, for the funeral of Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy commander killed in recent joint US and Israeli strikes. The emotional crowds carried the caskets of Tangsiri and Chief of Staff Advisor Jamshid Ishaki, chanting anti-American and anti-Israeli slogans while holding portraits of the slain commander alongside both former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and current Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. The IRGC officially confirmed Tangsiri’s death on March 30, following the initial March 26 airstrikes that targeted his command. Following the massive procession in the capital city, Tangsiri’s final burial services will take place this Friday in Abadan, located in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province.
